FOOD ODYSSEY

Among all animals, humans are the only ones who took up cooking. Cooking is a human act. Eating is the most primal instinct of humans, and also puts humans at the intersection between life and death. This project begins with the premise that through cooking, we can learn about our lives, culture, and history.

Meals made of grains serve as staple foods for all humanity, and are cooked in various ways. Among the various types of grains, flour is a motif that has a long history. It visualizes cooked meals based upon scientific principles, and adding rich designs draws people's interest. Moreover, it satiates people's senses and encourages their active participation.
